INVESTING IN WOODBURY COUNTY LOAN PROGRAM
A program designed to help small business get started or expand. The program provides secured and unsecured loans at 2% interest and is administered through, and all applications are submitted, the Siouxland Economic Development Corporation.
The program is ideal for farmers who need help getting started in small food production. However, the program applies to any new or expanding business in rural Woodbury County.

ORGANIC CONVERSION PROGRAM
100% Real Property Tax Rebate for 5 years for those who convert farmland from conventional to organic farming methods. The program is designed to give support to a new generation of farmer.
It is financially impossible for a young person to get into conventional agriculture. However, an aspiring farmer can easily become an organic food producer on far fewer acres of land and with less money needed for equipment.

WOODBURY COUNTY ENTREPRENEUR PROGRAM
Thoughts on developing & supporting entrepreneurs. Woodbury County’s program information. A program to support budding young entrepreneurs. Woodbury County takes a different approach to encouraging young students to get into a business of their own. Students (typically in college) take a simply executable idea, turn it into a business plan, and off they go. Monetary support, in addition to coaching, is provided.
